Israel and Tom,

Indeed, the Rally Success Tour in Santa Clara was an event that solidified Agile as a business imperative. And this wasn't just from one speaker. The event invited six different executives to come forward with their stories about Agile transformation. Tom, I value your references to revolution and in particular Edmund Burke (hadn't read his work since college!) I too believe that the real story is not about Scrum over XP over Lean over Kanban. The real story is how development teams absorb practices that keep them in a flow of value into the business. In turn, the business contracts with the teams to continue to respect and support them by supplying ranked, emergent detail, valuable business features. The respect each of the six panelists articulated in their Agile transformations cannot be overstated. Each story revealed a wonderful synching across the whole for real business success without undue, unsustainable pressures.
